About the app
"Webtop" is a leading digital platform provided by the national Ministry of Education, currently used by more than 1M users. It is aiming to support efficient and transparent communication between children, parents, and teachers in various educational settings.

The Problem
The idea for the current project was born out of my own frustration as a mother who often uses this application to trace the daily routines at my son’s school. I realized that when using the platform, I experience difficulties and irritations, which prompted the need for redesign.
In doing so, I focused mainly on the mobile app and the difficulties that parents experience while using it.

Research
User pain point
To gain insights the user experience with the mobile app, I conducted interviews with parents that use the app and asked them about their experience with it and the problems that they’re facing.
The main issues that were raised in the survey were:

The app is not user-friendly

The UX flow is problematic – topics that are used frequently are nevertheless hard to locate and reach.

There is no clear hierarchy that organizes the different topic.
